How it works

Everything is computed from your league's real scoring data via Sleeper's free public API — no expert rankings, no black box. The exact recipe:

  1. Per-player weekly scores are pulled from every completed matchup (players_points), so a player's numbers already reflect your league's scoring.
  2. Recent form = last 3 weeks weighted 50/30/20, blended 65/35 with the season average. Trend = recent vs. season, capped at ±25%.
  3. Positional scarcity (VORP): replacement level is the (starters × teams)-th best player at each position; FLEX adds 40% of a starter share to RB/WR/TE. Points above replacement get a 50% bonus.
  4. Trade value = round(raw × 10 + 5 × points above replacement).
  5. Keeper value = trade value × age curve (rookie 1.20, 2nd-yr 1.12, 3rd-yr 1.06, yrs 4–6 1.00, yrs 7–9 0.94, 10+ 0.85).
  6. Weekly projection = recent form × matchup factor, where the factor is (league-average points allowed ÷ this opponent's points allowed), clamped 0.80–1.25.
  7. Start/sit leans compare the projected-optimal lineup against the lineup currently set, flagging any swap worth more than 1.0 projected point, with the reason attached.
